Mum Defends Cosmetic Surgery Gift For Daughter

A mum, who has given her 7 year old daughter a voucher for cosmetic surgery, has defended her decision saying it was her daughter’s idea.

Sarah Burge, who is an associate of a cosmetic surgery company, has had £500,000 worth of work done her body.

The mum-of-three, who lives in a village near St Neots, has been telling Heart that the gift is for her daughter Poppy to use later in life:

“It’s basically just thinking ahead of time because I am in the position to do so at the moment. So when she becomes 18, if she so wishes to have something done, then she can take control of the way she wants to look by having this done."

Two of Sarah’s daughters have had Botox. One of which was 15 years old at the time:

It’s not for the reasons the press sensationalised,” as Sarah explains. “It was purely because she is a professional dancer and she is in the industry and she was perspiring quite a lot on her forward and in her own words she said ‘I don’t want to end up in a puddle of sweat.’”

“Everyone was totally up in arms about it because it was a 15 year old and it was Botox which is a toxin. But at the end of the day it is used in medical purposes for many many reasons from the age of 4 years old, for cerebral palsy suffers for instance.”
