Stevenage Borough Head To Wembley

8 May 2010, 06:00

Thousands of Stevenage Borough fans are on their way to Wembley today.

They're taking on Barrow in the final of the FA Trophy.  The match kicks off at 3pm.

Borough have already won the Blue Square Premier and gained promotion into the Football League.  Adding the FA Trophy would provide a sweet end to the club's most successful ever season.

To mark their trip to the home of English football, the club's players and fans have teamed together to record a song.  You can here it by clicking here...  If you want to download a free copy, click here...

Pete Hayman is the editor of one of the club's fan sites; he'll be heading down the A1(M) along with thousands of other Borough fans.  "A few fans are still in disbelieve about getting promotion to the Football League, but I think there's still that wave of enthusiasm and ecstasy that will ensure that we're up for the fight.  Hopefully it'll be a pretty decent atmosphere.

"I think it'll be tight.  I think Barrow will put up a really good fight, but we've won 11 out of our last 12 games and that record speaks for itself.  We're well placed to make it another win and finish off the season on a high."
