Teens injured after club assault

Police in Bedford are appealing for witnesses to come forward after two men aged 18 years were assaulted on Saturday, February 12.

The incident happened on the dance floor in The Pad in Lurke Street at approximately 1.45am when a woman and the two teenagers were involved in an altercation.  The two men suffered cuts and lacerations to their face.

They were taken to Bedford Hospital where they received stitches for facial injuries and later released.

A 21-year-old woman was arrested and released on police bail pending further enquiries.

DC Alison Whitworth, of Bedford CID, is keen to trace anyone who was in The Pad during the early hours of Saturday.

DC Whitworth said: “We know there were people on the dance floor and nearby when the men were assaulted and it is these people we would ask to contact the police.  They may hold vital information about those responsible for this assault.”
