Woman In Car Crash Dies

Officers from the Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire Collision Investigation Unit are investigating a fatal road traffic collision that happened in Marston Moretaine in Bedfordshire on Monday evening.

The incident happened at 5.25pm on the old A421 at its junction with Woburn Road.

The collision involved a silver Volkswagen Polo and a grey Vauxhall Vectra.

The 40 year old male driver and two passengers, including a baby, in the Vectra were not seriously hurt, however, the 27 year old driver of the Polo sustained head injuries and was taken to Addenbrokes Hospital where she has since sadly died.

H M Coroner for Bedfordshire will open an inquest in due course and a full collision investigation continues.
