Chineham Burglary

This is an image taken from the CCTV of a burglary at a shop in Chineham.

Five men burgled the One Stop store in Guinea Court on the evening of Saturday February 13th. Police say it happened around 8.20pm.

The gang stole boxes of cigarettes and sweets from the front counter, no one was threatened but staff at the shop were left shaken.

Police have now released CCTV images of three men they would like to speak to and below, we have descriptions of all five:

The first man was wearing a purple hooded top with a large white Adidas logo on the front, baggy grey tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

The second man was wearing a green hooded jacket, blue jeans and white trainers.

The third man was wearing a pale blue hooded top, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms and grey or black trainers.

The fourth and fifth men were wearing dark coloured hooded tops, dark coloured tracksuit bottoms and one was carrying a black rucksack.

All were wearing scarves to conceal their faces.

Witnesses:

PC Victoria McNally, from the Basingstoke Targeted Patrol Team, said: "This burglary happened while the store was open and there would have been customers coming and going when this incident happened.

"We would like to speak to anyone who used the One Stop store from 8pm that evening who may have seen a group hanging around outside or seen any of the men going into or running out of the shop.

"I’d also like to hear from anyone who recognises any of the people in the CCTV images and would urge them to contact us in confidence."
