Man Hit With Brick In Basingstoke

Police are looking for two men and two women after a robbery in Basingstoke.

At around 1.05am on Sunday May 16th, a 40-year-old man was walking from the town centre towards South Ham. As he passed the footbridge that crosses Ringway West he saw a group of three men and two women ahead of him.

As he walked past them one of the men hit him with a brick and then stole his mobile phone.

The 40 year old suffered cuts and bruises to his face and was taken to Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital for treatment.

The other man's described as between 18-20, 5ft 8, with short fair hair. He was wearing a grey hooded top.

Both women were average height, slim and with shoulder length blonde hair.


Detective Constable Catherine Atherton, from Basingstoke CID, said:

“I would like to hear from anyone who recognises the person in the e-fit, or has any information about who was responsible for this unprovoked attack.”
