Ways to get over a ex!

THURSDAY

Today on Heart Breakfast we needed your advice! Lizzie split up with her boyfriend a month ago and she's still finding it hard to get over him! So we needed your advice on ways to get over your ex. Loads of you got in touch with some very useful advice...

Cut your hair, get a spray tan, hook up with the girls in town and pull the sexiest guy in the bar! Worked for me! From Debs

Just think it could be worse you could have to work with him every day. Go out and occupy your time with your girly friends! From Jackie

Apart from the standard burning effigy and voodoo doll. Have a few nights out with the girls, snog a few guys, great ego boost! Beckie in Winnersh

I moved to the UK to get rid off my ex, it certainly worked. From Alena

I say pamper yourself! New hairstyle, massage, manicure and maybe a fake tan! Will make you feel really good about yourself! But just remember, he's not worth the tears! From Holly

Kiss a northern bloke in a night club. It made me realise I was over my ex and i could move on to my new lovely man.

The best way to forget about your x is to a good girly night with few bottles of wine and snacks! Sarah in Caversham

Watch the film "He's just not that into you". From Camilla

TUESDAY

Today on Heart Breakfast we wanted to know when was the last time you were in A&E? This was because Lizzie ended up in A&E after she fell off her bed and injured herself. Gareth ended up in A&E as he thought he was having a heart attack but it turned out he was just tired!

Here are some of our favourite texts...

I was taken into hospital with a suspected heart attack, had all the chest pains and aching arm turned out to be indigestion from a jacket potato

My son has being to A&E twice recently due to my horse standing on his foot and my young horse trying to kick the small pony he was riding and missing the pony and kicked his leg. Lucky he came off both times with a bruise. From Sue

When I was younger I went to sit down but my mum had moved the sofa earlier on in the day and I hadn't realised. And I ended up smashing my head open

After a pillow fight with my husband he hit his arm on the door as i ran out of the room, and fractured it. Debbie in Bracknell

I was at a picnic and had a small can of coke. It was open and when i came back i drank some, i felt something spiky and it was 3 wasps

On new years eve i had a really bad stomach pain so i was told to go to A&E but they thought i was pregnant and in labour! I was so offended i was only 15 and i wasn't exactly fat. It turned out my appendix had decided to do something bad but i was so embarrassed and my parents still wont let me forget it love the show helps me to wake up in the morning. From Mandy

I'm a teacher, i fell downstairs at the school and dislocated my shoulder, when i was back at school the kids had all sorts of stories about it saying i'd thrown myself down the stairs or burnt myself with a hot cup of tea as i fell!

I was running for my bus, and I tripped over and my knee dislocated, my skirt flew over my head in front of a cyclist and the ambulance had to be rung, the police drove past and saw a commotion and stopped too, I was then put on laughing gas and whisked off to A&E in an ambulance to have my knee strapped into a cricket bat style brace. All very embarrassing but funny when looking back, a definite memory to tell the kids when I'm older, from Tammy

When my son was little I ended up in a & e twice in as many weeks first was he got bit by a parrot and had stitches and next week I took his nappy off down the garden after his nap and a wasp landed on his bits! Was so swollen we had to go to a&e again!

Thanks for all your calls and texts!

MONDAY

Today on Heart Breakfast, Lizzie was talking about the time she got a £40 taxi at 4.00 in the morning to go and see her man...all on an impulse cause she'd lost her phone! It seemed logical to her at the time! So we asked you 'What lengths have you gone through to be with the one you love'?

Here's just some of your responses...

‘My now husband flew back from New Zealand (after just arriving from Ecuador) on a round the world trip to be with me.’ Debbie in Bracknell

‘After university my boyfriend lived in Birmingham and I lived in Winchester- I hadn't seen him for 2 weeks, so after a phone call late one night I decided to drive 2hrs to see him- I arrived at 2 am on his doorstep , he was very surprised! We've now been married 2 years. He's in Afghanistan at the mo due back in 5 wk-unfortunately I can't drive there but I can't wait for him to come home after 4 months away.’ Beth in Hartley Whitney

‘ My partner Paul and I met on the Internet. He lived miles away so we only got to see each other at weekends. It was really hard as we missed each other. He moved to be with me, and gave up his dream job. We have been together of 3 years.’ Rhea

‘ My girlfriend is Canadian and i met her in Paris last week.’ Mark andover.
