Second Huge Cannabis Factory Found in Bristol

Police in Bristol have uncovered a second huge cannabis factory in as many days.

This time officers raided a House on Ash Lane in Horfield. At the end of a quiet residential street a house with extended garages had been turned into a major drugs growing operation with at least one thousand plants. It comes the day after police found £1.45 million pounds worth of cannabis in an old bank in Bedminster.

In Horfield today (thurs) 3 people were arrested. Police said they were unable to confirm wether the two drugs growing operations were linked.

Sgt Nigel Chapman from the Horfield Neighbourhood Policing team said 'This is the biggest cannabis factory I've seen personally so it's a really pleasing result. This differs to yesterdays (weds) raid as it was based on local intelligence rather than a tip off from another force. I would imagine most of these drugs are not actually destined for the streets of Bristol, but would have ended up across the UK. It makes a massive difference to take this much of the street and we will keep working to do that.'
