A number of vehicles have been damaged after wood and metal fell from a lorry on the M4.
It happened at around 6.45am on 31 July between junctions 19-20, just after the M32 junction.
Police say vehicles were forced to avoid the items and a couple suffered minor damage.
They are keen to trace the lorry which may have been carrying the items and want to hear from anyone travelling westbound on the M4 around the time.
Anyone able to help is asked to contact the team at Almondsbury, quoting log number 0112 of 31 July.
