Thirty dancers from the Cambridge University Ballet Club staged an impromptu dance in the Lion Yard shopping centre on Saturday.
The dance was choreographed to music.
Caroline Radnofsky, a member of the Cambridge University Ballet Club, said: "One of the coolest thing about flashmobs is that they are like living in a musical.
It's like everyone's fantasy where everyone just stops what they're doing and starts dancing in the most mundane situations, like shopping on a Saturday."
