New figures from the government show more people cycle in Cambridge than in any other city in the country.
Statistics from the Department for Transport show 47 percent of adults in Cambridge cycle at least once a week.
They also show 25 percent of adults in the city cycle a minimum of five times every week.
Oxford is second in the list, with 28 percent of adults cycling at least once a week, and 14 percent cycling at least five times a week.
York (22%) was third in the once-a-week table and also third in the five-times-a-week table, in which the London borough of Hackney (where 9% of adults cycled at least five times a week) was fourth.
Overall, 15% of adults on England cycled at least once a month in the period from mid-October 2011 to mid-October 2012 - a figure unchanged from the similar period in 2010/11.
The 2011/12 figures also showed that 10% of adults cycled at least once a week, 5% cycled at least three times a week and 3% took to their bikes at least five times a week.
