Teenagers Get A Level Results

The nervous wait is over for teenagers across the Heart Cambridgeshire are - A Level results are out.

Long Road Sixth Form College, Cambridge.

A* - E - 97.2%

A* - C - 68%

18 Unit National Diploma - 100%

12 Unit National Diploma - 95%

Sandra Hamilton-Fox, Principal of Long Road Sixth Form College, said: "Our students have done incredibly well again this year.

We're delighted for them and very proud of what they've achieved.

There have been a lot of very excited and very happy people here this morning."

Thomas Deacon Academy, Peterborough.

A* - B - 48%

98.4% overall pass rate - an increase from last year.

Alan McMurdo, CEO & Prinicpal at Thomas Deacon Academy, told Heart: "It’s a great day really, very exciting, a lot of emotion, a lot of tears of joy and frustration in some cases, but by and large a very, very pleasant day.

We're delighted our results have improved this year."

Wisbech Grammar School.

A* - A - 48%

A* - B - 74%

Headmaster Mr Nicholas Hammond said:  "This year’s A Level results are the best in Wisbech Grammar School’s history.

They reflect the conscientious way in which our upper sixth formers have approached their studies, the inspiring lessons that their teachers have given and the support of their parents."

Overall pass rate - 98%

A* - B - 48%

A* - C - 75%

Hills Road Sixth Form College, Cambridge.

A* - 20.2%

A - 34.2%

A* - C - 93.2%

A* - E - 99.6%

College Principal Linda Sinclair said: "We are delighted with these results which include even more top grades than last year's record levels.

These outstanding achievements properly reflect and reward the dedication and talents of students, staff and partner school colleagues.

Furthermore, these results will enable the vast majority of our students to progress successfully to their first choice destinations."

Overall pass rate - 98%

A - B - 43%

Acting Head Jonathan Culshaw said: "I am delighted with the excellent results that the students have achieved this year.

It is particularly pleasing to see that students have achieved the grades that they needed to take their next step, be that at University, further training or work.
