An overturned lorry narrowly avoided sliding into a petrol station on the A14 near Cambridge this morning.

Two lorries crashed on the west-bound carriageway at Fenstanton around 4am this morning, before one of them turned over and slid towards a nearby petrol station.

It came to a halt just metres from the fuel pumps.

Firefighters were called to cut the lorry driver free from the cab.

Part of the A14 was closed for around three hours after the crash, but re-opened just after 7am.
