Kentford: Body Found After Fire

A body has been found after a house fire in Kentford near Newmarket.

Police and Fire crew are still at the house on Bury Road after being called out at 9.20am on Friday 8th of Feb.

A man, aged in his 60's was taken to West Suffolk hospital in Bury St Edmunds suffering from smoke inhalation. 

On Friday afternoon a body was found within the house, and the death as is standard proceduce, is being treated as unexplained. 

A post mortem examination is due to take place on Saturday the 9th of February. 

A cordon remains in place around the property while investigatons continue to establish the cause of the fire.
