Woman Found Dead In Royston

A man has been charged after the death of a woman in Royston.

31 year old Tomas Navickas, from Ermine Close in Royston, is charged with murder, and has been remanded in custody after appearing in court.

He is now scheduled to appear at Luton Crown Court on the 30th of March.

The 43 year old woman, who has not yet been named, was found at a house in Ermine Close at around 9:15am on Tuesday.

A post mortem has concluded that she died from internal bleeding caused by injuries to her chest and stomach.

The victim is believed to be a Latvian national amd Hertfordshire Police is currently in contact with her family.

Police don't believe a weapon was used during the incident.
