Anna's Hope Fairy World Record Attempt
13 April 2018, 12:00
Fancy becoming a Guinness World Record holder this summer? Then register now to dress up as a fairy and join local charity Anna's Hope in the world record attempt for the "Largest Gathering of People Dressed as Fairies in One Place".
The attempt will take place in the grounds in front of Peterborough Cathedral on Sunday 10 June from 12.30pm until 4.30pm and will be part of Peterborough 900 Celebrates.
To qualify as a fairy, you must wear a TUTU and WINGS and carry a WAND. To break the world record the charity needs at least 900 fairies. Everyone dressed as a fairy is welcome including friends and families.
Entrance is FREE, plus there will be singers, dancers, face painting and other entertainment to make it a perfect family day out.
Anna's Hope founder, Carole Hughes said "The charity was inspired by my daughter Anna, who died from a brain tumour aged only 3. She loved dressing up as a fairy. Anna's Hope now helps over 120 children with a brain tumour each year and by breaking the world record it will not only be fun and a great achievement it will also help raise awareness of children with brain tumours".
