Fee-fi-fo-fum! Panto season has arrived at the Cambridge Arts Theatre with Jack and the Beanstalk.
Chart-topping legend Tony Christie, most famous for his Number One hit single 'Is This The Way to Amarillo', will lead the cast of this year's family pantomime, in the role of The King...of Amarillo! Tony is be joined by Liza Goddard, who brings her sparkle and charm to help the hero on his adventures as the Good Fairy. Liza is much loved for her roles as the glamorous jewel thief Philippa Vale in Bergerac, Mrs Jessop in Woof!, as well as numerous stage roles.
Taking to the stage this year as the villain of the show is former Coronation Street and The Bill star, Stephen Beckett, who makes his fourth Cambridge Arts pantomime appearance.
Stephen is joined by Cambridge’s number 1 Dame, Matt Crosby, who return to the Arts Theatre stage to play 'Dame Trott', alongside Robert Rees as 'Simon Trott' and Holly Easterbrook as the hero, 'Jack Trott'.
Following her success with Dick Whittington last year, Carole Todd returns to direct the show across the festive period. She is a highly experienced director and choreographer, who has worked on multiple musicals in the West End.
The biggest and best Christmas show in town, presented with the Arts Theatre's trademark blend of singalong tunes, spectacular dance routines, dazzling costumes and classic panto jokes, Jack and the Beanstalk is a show not to be missed this year!
