Cambridge's Ice Rink Now Open On Parker's Piece

Cambridge's ice rink and festive funfair is now open for 2018.

The North Pole Cambridge Christmas Festival runs until Sunday 6th January 2019. With a large open-air ice rink, Alpine Lodge, traditional food treats and family favourite fairground rides, it really will make the season feel extra special!

The Ice Rink

Get your skates on this winter and enjoy one of the UK’s most stylish open-air ice rinks. Nestled amongst the trees in Parker's Piece, winter revellers can take in the simply stunning parkland views on the large open air ice rink.

AND, new for 2018 is a transparent roof covering the rink. So, regardless of the weather, you'll be able to enjoy a great day out with your family and friends.

Special Events On The Rink

There are lots of exciting events and activities on the ice rink at North Pole Cambridge over the festive period. Here are a few highlights...

Disco Nights - every Thursday from 7pm from 13-27 December

Christmas Jumper Day - Anyone who dons their festive jumper to book at the Box Office on Friday 14 December will receive 25% off their ticket. To support this Save The Children event, donation boxes will be available around the rink for you to put those ticket savings to good use.

NHS Free Skating Offer - Free skating for NHS staff from 10th-12th December. Please show your NHS ID badge to skate on the day for free.

80s Live Music - Grab your friends and join us at the rink as a live band will be entertaining skaters from 6-8pm on Sunday 16th December with all those 80s classics.

Youngest Superstar Ice Skating Competition - The North Pole is calling out for all young skaters to come and flex their skills on the rink on Friday 21 December for a chance to win a fabulous prize. Stay tuned for more information coming soon.

Through the Decades NYE Party - The North Pole will be spinning the hits throughout the decades to kickstart your NYE family celebrations from 7pm on 31st December.

Undercover Alpine Cabin Bar

The Alpine Cabin Bar will be open daily, serving mulled wine and seasonal drinks that you can enjoy in the cosy undercover Alpine style wooden lodge while you watch the skaters take to the ice.

Festive Food

Throughout the skating season, The North Pole will be serving up a seasonal array of food and drinks to enjoy, from hot chocolate & marshmallows to festive cocktails to name a few.

Savour the Authentic German Swing Grill, traditional German Bratwurst, speciality gourmet burgers, crepes, vegetarian burgers and churros.

Festive Fairground Rides

When you visit this year, why not enjoy a merry mix of traditional fairground rides? They're sure to bring out the big kid in all of us as we celebrate the festive time of year.

There’s family funfair rides, extreme rides and a separate children’s zone. Check out the Dodgems, Rolla Coaster, Daredevil, Waltzer, Super Bob, Fun House, Giant Slide, Twister, Dumbos and more, plus a multitude of games. All rides start from £2 per person.

There will be a host of other stalls and attractions too, so make sure you don't miss out!
