Cyclist Badly Hurt After A141 Crash

A woman's been badly hurt in Chatteris - after cycling along the A141 and being struck by a lorry.

Officers are appealing for information following a serious collision yesterday on the A141, Chatteris.

At around 1230pm on Monday (3rd December), a white Scania HGV was involved in a collision with a cyclist outside the Poundstretcher/Jack's store.

The cyclist, a woman in her 50s, received serious injuries and was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital where she remains in serious condition.

Police say there's been no arrests over what happened but if anyone witnessed what happened, or saw the vehicle or cyclist prior to the incident, they should call 101 quoting incident 192 of 3 December.
