Just twenty four per cent of teachers are male in Cambridegshire and twenty six per cent in Peterborough.
Men are being encouraged to think about a career in the classroom as dozens of schools in #Cambridgeshire aren't employing any male teachers.
Maria McCardle is a teacher, and she says: "If we want to recruit more males into teaching, we need to see that postive role model. If young children aren't seeing males, they won't aspire to teach themselves."
