A man has admitted robbing and killing a Peterborough teenager.
James Pettit, 22, of Restormel Close, Bedford, pleaded guilty to the manslaughter of 18-year-old Mohammed Sanghar, known as "Haroon", in an incident in Peterborough in April this year.
Pettit had been due to stand trial for murder and robbery at Cambridge Crown Court but Pettit changed his plea to guilty to the alternative manslaughter charge, as well as robbery.
Co-accused Dino Fumo, 23, of St Michael's Road, Bedford, pleaded guilty to robbery but denies manslaughter and will now face trial, starting this morning (October 14).
Officers were called to Russell Street on the afternoon of April 10 following reports that Mr Sanghar had suffered serious injuries after being involved in an incident with a car.
The 18-year-old, of Cromwell Road, was taken to Peterborough City Hospital where his condition deteriorated and he died at about 12.45pm the following day.
