A man has died following a collision near Guyhirn.
The crash involving a van and a lorry was reported to police at 6.10am today (July 20).
It happened on the A47 Thorney Road, between Rings End and Thorney.
The driver of the van died at the scene.
Police say they can't name him as formal identification has not been done.
It is unclear whether the driver of the lorry, a man, was injured.
No one else is believed to have been in the vehicles.
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue say, "The East of England Ambulance Service Trust was called to a two vehicle road traffic collision, between a lorry and van, off the A47 near Peterborough at 6.08 this morning (Monday 20th July).
"Two ambulances and two ambulance officers attended to treated one man.
"Unfortunately despite the best efforts of emergency services, the patient sadly died at the scene.
"One other patient, a man was also treated but discharged from scene with no injuries."
The road is closed to allow inquiries to take place.
Anyone who saw the collision is asked to contact the road policing unit on 101.
