One Person Dies In A14 Crash

One person has died after a crash on the A14 at Alconbury this morning.

Emergency services were called at 7:14am after reports a car had overturned on the eastbound carriageway, half a mile before the Spittals interchange.

Three people were assessed by the ambulance service and one person has suffered fatal injuries.

The other two patients were treated and assessed and discharged at the scene.

The westbound carriageway is currently shut at Spittals and eastbound is closed at Alconbury.

Diversions are in place but motorists are advised to avoid the area or expect delays.
