Operations are being cancelled at Peterborough City Hospital this morning, becasue of flooding.
A pipe burst at the hospital yesterday, affecting the running of the theatres and the Emergency Department.
The hospital tweeted this morning, saying
Our teams are working through the night to get our hospital back to normal after the flood in theatres and the Emergency Department today."
"We would like to apologise to patients due to have surgery today - we've cancelled our ops at PCH this morning due to flooding in theatres."
"We are also running a reduced Emergency Dept service as the flooding, caused by a burst pipe, affected part of this department too."
"Our staff are doing a fab job helping us recover from our flood at PCH. We'll update asap as there may be ongoing disruption to services."
