A doctor's been struck off for pretending to be on a part-time contract when he was actually paid to be at Peterborough City Hospital full time.

65 year-old Doctor Sathiyakeerthy Ariyanayagam was a lead-consultant for sexual health but he told colleagues he only worked Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays.

His contract though was for 5 day working week.

A Medical Practitioners Tribunal have convicted him of misconduct saying behaviour "fell seriously short of the standards expected of a doctor".

He's now got to pay Peterborough City Hospital all the money back.
