The body, which had no arms, legs or a head, was discovered at a property in Mayor's Walk, Peterborough, on June 5.
A murder inquiry was launched and a 57-year-old man from Peterborough, arrested in connection, remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station after an extension was granted by magistrates this morning (June 9).
