A post mortem examination on the body of a murder victim in Peterborough has failed to find a cause of death.

The body, which had no arms, legs or a head, was discovered at a property in Mayor's Walk, Peterborough, on June 5.

A murder inquiry was launched and a 57-year-old man from Peterborough, arrested in connection, remains in custody at Thorpe Wood Police Station after an extension was granted by magistrates this morning (June 9).

Police have still not identified the victim and inquiries continue. Searches also continue to find the missing body parts.
