12 rare antique advertising boards have been stolen from Ramsey Rural Museum.

The big boards have been displayed on the outside walls of the museum for more than 30 years and are all approximately 2ft x 3ft.

It's believed they were taken sometime between 12pm on March 8 and 1pm on March 14.

A police spokesperson said: "These signs are extremely rare and most date back to the 1930s.

"We are determined to find these signs and return them to the museum so I encourage anyone who may have seen something or who knows any information to call us on 101."

Anyone with information should contact police on 101, call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111 or visit Crimestoppers online..
