Spalding Woman Dies After A17 Crash

A woman from Spalding, involved in a crash on the A17 on Wednesday at Swineshead has died.

Today (Friday 31st August), police say the victim was a passenger in one of the two vehicles involved in the collision on Wednesday lunchtime, she was a woman in her 80s.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision.

A white Mercedes Benz van and a silver Citroen Xsara, both vehicles were travelling in the same direction, northbound, towards Swineshead Bridge.

As well as the fatality, another person was very badly hurt along with two other people who suffered injuries.

They were taken to the Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham.
