Tributes have been pouring in for a pizza delivery man, who has died after being seriously assaulted in Peterborough.

Ali Qasemi was delivering food in Shrewsbury Avenue in the early hours of Sunday (8th May) when he was attacked.

He was taken to Addenbrooke's hospital in a critical condition but died two days later.

The 45 year old, from Birchtree Avenue, was expecting his third child with his wife.

In a tribute Mrs Qasemi said: "My husband was my everything; my best friend, my soul mate, my life partner and an amazing father.

"He was such a caring and helpful person and was always there for his family and friends.

"This is a very hard time for me and our two children. We are expecting our third child and my heart aches that he won't be here to see them all grow up."

Two men have been charged with robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call DI Lucy Thomson in the major crime unit on 101, or Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
