The family of a woman from Spalding, killed in a crash say they're devastated by the tragic accident on the A17.
84 year old Mary Bernadette Blades died in a collision on the A17 at the junction of Villa Lane at Swineshead in Lincolnshire on Wednesday 29th of August at 12.15pm.
Married to Frank, the couple were looking forward to celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary in November.
A spokesperson for the family said:
"We are all deeply shocked and devastated by this tragic accident."
Bernie also leaves a son and daughter, two grandchildren and a three week old great granddaughter.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision.
A white Mercedes Benz van and a silver Citroen Xsara, both vehicles were travelling in the same direction, northbound, towards Swineshead Bridge.
Traffic police are still looking to speak to anyone who saw what happened, or the lead-up to what happened by emailing control@lincs.pnn.police.uk with reference 186 of 29 August or via the non-emergency number 101.
