Two Hurt In Peterborough Explosion

Two people have been seriously injured following an explosion at an industrial unit in the Woodston area of Peterborough this afternoon.

Emergency services were called at around 430pm to Shrewsbury Avenue.

A cordon is in place around the site, believed to be the logistics company XPO.

Police are assuring residents nearby there's no further environmental concerns after what happened.

The Health and Safety Executive will now be investigating.
