A Colchester woman is trying to break a world record for the number of people hula-hooping at the same time.
Amanda Morris has organised the event in Castle Park which will take place on May 23rd.
The idea is to raise around one hundred thousand pounds for Colchester's SOS Bus service.
The current record for the number of people hula-hooping at once stands at 2,290, which was set in Taiwan almost ten years ago.
Organiser Amanda says: "In the morning we're going to have teaching sessions so everyone can learn to hoop and then an open practice session."
"It's going to be a big event. I want to get quite a well known celebrity along as well but we're still working on that at the moment."
