Police say they've found nothing of significance at the former home of a paedophile couple, linked to Fred and Rose West.

Officers have been digging the garden at the house in Devon where David and Pauline Williams lived since Tuesday.

Detective Superintendent Keith Perkin from the Public Protection Unit said: “Following intelligence received, Devon and Cornwall Police undertook excavation work at a property on Cullompton Hill, Bradninch, Cullompton, Devon this week.

“This related to historic intelligence connected to the address, and around a dozen specialist trained officers have been involved in the excavation.

“Following a detailed excavation at the property, nothing of significance was found by the specialist trained officers. The investigation is now complete and we are not pursuing any other lines of enquiry in relation to this investigation.

“We appreciate that the Bradninch this week has attracted significant media attention and we would like to thank the residents of Bradninch for their patience & support shown."
