As MP's debate action in Syria, the people of Cornwall make their views heard
Around forty people gathered outside the Conservative Club and Sarah Newton MPs office in Truro, last night, to make their views heard on air strikes in Syria.
It was organised by Cornwall's Stop the War Coalition on Monday night, via a Facebook page called "Not in My Name- Cornwall message board".
Protesters carried placards and candles, and chanted lines such as 'Cameron don't attack, Syria will be your Iraq'.
So far we know that Sarah Newton, George Eustice - MP for Camborne and Redruth, Steve Double - MP for St Austell and Newquay, and Sheryll Murray - MP for South East Cornwall, are voting for action in Syria.
A vote on whether Britain should launch air strikes on Islamic State in Syria will take place this evening.
