Crime Scene Police Tape

Two people have been seriously hurt in a suspected hit-and-run near Fowey.

They were struck by a white Peugeot as they walked along the A3082 Four Turnings at around 11:25pm on Saturday night.
A 42-year-old man from Liskeard was flown to Derriford hospital with life-threatening injuries. He is in a critical but stable condition.
A 43-year-old woman from Looe was also taken to Derriford with serious injuries. She has since been sent home.
Devon and Cornwall police say they found the car a short time later. The woman who was driving, a 28-year-old, was arrested on suspicion of driving while above the alcohol limit. She has been released under investigation.
The road was closed for four hours on Saturday night.
Police believe a BMW taxi was behind the Peugeot. They are appealing for the driver and passengers to get in touch with them, as they may have seen what happened.
Anyone with information is being asked to phone police on 101, quoting log 1183 of 25th August.
