14 April 2014, 15:56

Surrey Police is appealing for witnesses after a serious collision involving three vehicles occurred in the car park at St Peter's Hospital, Chertsey just before 10am (Monday, 14 April).

A silver BMW Estate collided with two other stationery vehicles, a silver Nissan Almera and a blue Vauxhall Zafira as the driver was trying to enter the car park near the entrance to the ‘Out Patients Department'.

Emergency services attended the scene and the driver of the BMW, an 89-year-old man was taken to St. Peter's Hospital with minor injuries.

The owners of silver Nissan both sustained serious injuries although not considered to be life threatening and were taken to St. George's Hospital in Tooting. The 78-year-old man was taken by air ambulance and the 77-year-old woman was taken by road.

Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or have any information relating to the incident to come forward.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Surrey Police Collision Investigation Unit on 101 quoting reference P14108444.
