Some passengers say the new sign is 'needlessly aggressive'
The sign informs all arriving passengers that boarder force officers will carry out checks to 'Keep out people who have no right to enter the UK and to welcome those who do'.
It was spotted by @captainSKA who tweeted to say he was saddened and angry by the poster. and said it served no other purpose than intimitation and hostility'.
The Home Office has told Heart that checking 100% of arriving passengers is in accordance with the Border Force Operating Mandate and that the sign reflects this. They also said the sign has been at Gatwick since last year.'
