Boy, 14, charged following stabbing of teenager in Thames Ditton

A 14-year-old boy from Kingston-upon-Thames has been charged following an assault on a group of teenage boys in Thames Ditton on Saturday night (January 12th).

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, has been charged with robbery, grievous bodily harm and possession of a knife in a public place, and will appear at Staines Magistrate's Court today (16th January).

A 15-year-old, who was also arrested, has been released under investigation.

The attack happened following an altercation on a bridge over train tracks in Woodfield Road around 8.34pm.

One boy was taken to hospital with suspected stab wounds where he remains in a serious but stable condition. A second boy was also assaulted but has since been released from hospital.
