Angela Rose

Nominated by Sharon Arthur

Angela is an exceptional 15 year old. Since she was young her family has been involved in charity work, and Angela has followed in this. At school she has organised the 'shoebox appeal' for the last two years, and has managed to get over 300 shoeboxes filled with gifts for children overseas. She has organised fundraising events for Comic Relief and Children in Need. She helps lead the 'Interact Club' and Community Action Group in school and has helped run events, for example a pancake sale, to raise money for children with autism in the local area. She is joining a school trip to Kenya in July in which she will take part in community work. To raise money for the trip, Angela organised a 'curry night' at a local restaurant. She helps collect clothing and toys to send out to families in Chernobyl, has helped with delivering Christmas Food hampers and has helped a scheme called 'Families for Christmas', set up by her mum, by collecting gifts for children in the local area. This has provided 485 children with presents. Her reputation is such that she often asked to help with various ventures. She helps with her local Brownie pack, helps neighbours both able and disabled, and organises events and fundraising activities for charities.
