Scattering Ashes on a Snowdonian Summit
A London couple are cycling from Skegness to Snowdonia in North Wales in memory of their step-father.
Jack Adkins and Louise Park will pedal approximately 250 miles (carrying all camping and cycling equipment with them), then climb 3,000ft to the peak of Tryfan in Snowdonia.
It's all in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Jack said “On 9th May 2010, my step-father, Steve, died of lung cancer aged 55. The support we received from Macmillan's palliative care nurses in the time up to Steve's death was absolutely incredible. We want to do the cycle to give something back to Macmillan in memory of Steve, and it is even more special to us because Tryfan is where Steve used to climb”.
Special Moment for the Family
Speaking to Heart, Louise said: "we're being met by family, friends and people who were close to Steve at the top of Tryfan - we'll be scattering his ashes, it's an important rite for everyone".
