A 16-year-old boy has been charged with murdering a woman in Dorset.
The teenager was held after officers attended an address in Benville Road, Weymouth, on Saturday afternoon following reports that a woman had been injured.
When police arrived at the property at 1.06pm, they discovered the woman's body.
A police spokeswoman said on Tuesday: "Today Dorset Police have charged a 16-year-old boy with murder.
"He is due to appear at Weymouth Youth Court on Wednesday July 25."
Officers carried out house-to-house inquiries in and around Benville Road and a cordon was put in place around the property while forensic experts examined the scene.
Police said the victim's identity was not being released until after an inquest hearing.
