Appeal After 16 Year Old Cyclist Hurt

Police in Christchurch are appealing for witnesses after a teenage cyclist was injured.

At 5.24pm on Tuesday 2 October 2012 the 16-year-old boy, who's from the area, was cycling along Fairmile Road near to the junction with Mill Road when he came off his bike.

He was left with head, shoulder and leg injuries and was taken to Poole Hospital but was later released.

Police Constable David Lawrence, of Dorset Police Traffic Unit, said: “A passing motorist stopped at the scene to help and took the bicycle to the boy’s home address and informed his parents.

“I would like to speak with the motorist who helped and urge him to contact police.

“I am also appealing for anyone who has witnessed the incident to call Dorset Police as soon as possible.”
