Arson Attacks On Cars In Poole

Detectives in Poole are appealing for witnesses and information after an alleged arson attack on two cars in the Rossmore area of the town - one man's been arrested.

The incident reportedly occurred at around 10pm on Wednesday 25th July 2012 outside a house on Trinidad Crescent. 

The alleged offender targeted two vehicles, a silver Vauxhall Vectra registered to a Poole man, and a black Fiat 500 registered to a Poole woman, both of which were parked directly outside the property. 

Detective Constable Shanena Stewart, of Poole CID, said: "This is a serious incident which has caused a large amount of damage and left a family without any transport.

"Thanks to the prompt attendance of Dorset Fire and Rescue Service, further damage was prevented and thankfully nobody was hurt. 

"We would like to speak to anyone who may have been in the area around this time or may have any information connected to this incident."

A 33-year-old man from Poole has been arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.
