Body Found In Poole Bay
Poole RNLI lifeboats were tasked just before 2pm yesterday (Sunday 27th November) to a report of a person floating in the water in Poole bay.
A kayaker came across the person between East Hookbuoy and Old Harry and raised the alarm with Portland Coastguard.
Portland Coastguard launched the Poole RNLI inshore lifeboatwho swiftly arrived on scene.
The volunteer crew spoke with the kayaker who was the first informant to establish the last known location that the person had been sited. The volunteer crew then began an extensive search of the area.
Shortly after the all-weather lifeboat was tasked to assist with the search of Poole Bay from South of the Hook near to Poole bar buoy.
With both lifeboats working alongside in a co-ordinated search, the person was soon found.
Soon after 2.30pm the person was brought back ashore.
