After 18 months of work Bournemouth Airport's new £45 million terminal has been made open to the public.
The redevelopment has seen the departures building double in size with the amount of retail and catering services tripled.
Despite the downturn in the aviation industry, the airport has continued its development plans.
Bournemouth Airport's managing director, Rob Goldsmith said: "Passengers can expect a complete and utter transformation of the airport. Before we've had quite old, tired facilities, now we're really up there amongst the best regional airports in the country".
A number of new airlines and routes are now flying from Bournemouth and with the new terminal they're expecting 3 million passengers a year.
