Bournemouth Footballer To Face Trial
Three Brighton and Hove Albion footballers and a Bournemouth AFC player will face trial at crown court over sexual assault and voyeurism charges.
Brighton stars Lewis Dunk, 20, Anton Rodgers, 19, George Barker, 20, and their former team-mate Steve Cook, 21, who moved to Bournemouth, appeared at Brighton Magistrates' Court today for the committal hearing.
They are charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of voyeurism each and indicated not guilty pleas at a previous hearing.
The prosecution claims the alleged offences took place at the Jury's Inn hotel in Brighton on July 17 last year.
All four men were arrested by Sussex Police officers in January.
Rodgers and Barker, both of Highview Avenue North, Brighton, Dunk, of Woodbourne Avenue, Brighton, and Cook, of Perth Road, St Leonards-on-Sea, were released on bail and will next appear at Lewes Crown Court on August 3.
