Cannabis Plants Seized In Bournemouth

Police have seized a haul of cannabis plants and arrested two people in Bournemouth.

At approximately 6pm on Monday 23 January 2012 officers raided a house in Montgomery Avenue, Kinson.

Officers found and seized a large quantity of cannabis plants at the address. Further enquiries were made at an address in Parkwood Road,
Boscombe and a large quantity of cash and an additional quantity of cannabis plants was found.

Approximately 300 plants were seized in total.

A 45-year-old man and 27-year-old woman from Bournemouth were arrested on suspicion of the production of cannabis and have been released on bail.

Police are continuing their investigation.

Bournemouth CID Sergeant David Colomb said:

"Drugs can ruin lives and the execution of this warrant shows that we will not tolerate drug-related crime.

"I would encourage anyone who has information about drug offences taking place in their neighbourhood to contact Dorset Police
immediately on 101 so that we can take action.”
