CCTV footage of a man has been released after another man was left with a fractured skull in Boscombe.
It happened on Saturday the 6th of March, but police have just released the footage.
The 43 year old victim was punched in the head outside the Nationwide cashpoint just opposite MacDonalds.
The attacker then ran off and is thought to have driven off in a red Volkswagen Golf car.
Detective Constable James Taylor, of Bournemouth and Poole CID, said:
"Following extensive and protracted enquiries, I am now able to release a CCTV image that shows a man that I am eager to speak with.
"I would urge that the man pictured – and anyone who recognises the man pictured or the red Volkswagen Golf seen in the area at the time – to contact me, in confidence, as soon as possible.
"It could be that the man pictured will have information that will help me to find out exactly what happened along Boscombe precinct during the night of Saturday, 6 March 2010.
"I’d also urge anyone who witnessed an incident in which a man was attacked in Boscombe precinct, or anyone who has any information about the man responsible, to contact me as soon as possible."
