A 19 year old from Bournemouth's been left needing reconstructive surgery to his jaw after he was punched in the face by two men in Walkabout.
At about 2.30am on Friday, 19 February 2010, in the Walkabout Inn on Old Christchurch Road in Bournemouth, 19-year-old Luke Stone was punched in the face by two men as he tried to find out who had stolen his mobile phone.
Luke, who lives in Bournemouth, sustained a badly broken jaw that required reconstructive surgery at Poole Hospital.
Detective Constable Scott Brimicombe, of Bournemouth & Poole CID, said:
“This was a particularly nasty and unprovoked assault on a young man who was trying, in a non-violent way, to identify who had taken his mobile phone. The sudden violent assaults that he suffered are inexcusable and I am determined to find the two men responsible for the attack which has left Luke with a very serious injury to his head."
He added: "I would like to hear urgently from anyone who recognises either of the two men pictured in the CCTV still images. I’d also like to hear from anyone else who either witnessed the assault inside the bar, or who has any other information that will help me identify those responsible for this unprovoked assault.”
Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 01202 or 01305 22 22 22 or the free and anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111 where mobile phone tariffs may apply.
