Council Tax Rises

Council tax payers are seeing the lowest council tax rises in 17 years.

On average the council part of the bill is being increased by just over 2%. The overall rise is higher though as the fire and police service are also increasing the amount they charge us.

In Bournemouth, the Borough Council part of the bill is going up by 2.9%, meaning someone living in a band D house will have to pay £36 pounds a year more. North Dorset's got the biggest increase- an average bill there has gone up by nearly £50 a year.
